EMS responds to water rescue at Madison River Park in Rockingham County

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Emergency crews responded to a water rescue call involving two people at Madison River Park on Sunday, according to a Rockingham County government representative.

At about 3:17 p.m., EMS, fire crews, law enforcement and the Swift Water Rescue Team were called to the park.

The county reports that two people were on a raft in the water when a male patient fell off. When crews arrived, they found a woman still on the raft, and the other patient had already made it out of the water…
