ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Nearly 2,000 Duke Energy customers are without power after a brush fire damaged utility equipment, according to the company’s outage map.
The fire, reported at 179 Sunset Trail, was caused when a power line came into contact with a tree, igniting the blaze, Rockingham County EMS said.
