GREENSBORO, N.C. — The razor-thin race for North Carolina Senate District 26 between incumbent Phil Berger and challenger Sam Page remains unresolved, with hand-to-eye recounts happening at selected precincts in Rockingham and Guilford counties Tuesday morning. Currently, Page leads by just 23 votes.

Berger requested both a machine and a hand-to-eye recount, and has filed formal protests with Rockingham and Guilford counties.
