Hot Air Balloons to fill the sky over Decatur during Alabama Jubilee Festival

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — The annual Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic will return to Decatur on May 23-24, bringing thousands of visitors to Point Mallard Park for a weekend of hot air balloons, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Held each year over Memorial Day Weekend, the free event features hot air balloon launches, races, and evening balloon glow displays where colorful balloons light up the night sky. Balloon flights are typically scheduled for early morning and late afternoon on both days.

In addition to the balloons, the festival includes a wide variety of activities for the public. Visitors can enjoy live music performances, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, and a large arts and crafts show throughout the weekend.
