Knoxville man gets 1969 Mustang back from shop unfinished after 5-year wait

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Knoxville man who paid thousands of dollars to have his vintage Mustang modified had to go to court to get it back from a shop in Sevierville.

Kevin Bickley, the owner of the highly sought-after 1969 Mustang Mach 1, said little progress was made in modifying the car since he took it to the shop more than five years ago. He took the car to Miller’s Performance and Restoration in Sevierville in October of 2020.

The special color called Grabber Orange was a perfect choice for the UT enthusiast.

“I asked Corey [Miller] the deadline. He said there should be no problem getting it done by Easter 2021, which was about a six-month time frame,” said Bickley.
