DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — The Desert Hot Springs Police Department, in coordination with the Riverside County Child Exploitation Team (RCCET), conducted a targeted law enforcement operation in La Quinta on March 19, 2026. The RCCET is a multi-agency task force established to investigate the online exploitation of minors and identify individuals engaged in such activities. During the operation, detectives served both search and arrest warrants at a residence in the La Quinta area.
As a result of the warrants, an 18-year-old male resident of La Quinta was taken into custody. The individual was arrested on multiple felony counts related to the possession of child sexual abuse material.
