ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Just 30 more minutes of exercise or sleep every day lowers teens’ risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
A Harvard study found that if teens replace a half hour of the time they spend sitting on the couch or on their phones or computer with exercise instead, their insulin resistance lowers 15%. Researchers said it adds to the growing evidence that sedentary behavior is linked to diabetes.
