Rochester, N.Y. — A man, already convicted of murder in a separate case, is awaiting sentencing after being convicted of murder and other charges for a drive-by shooting that killed a man walking home on Rochester’s northeast side nearly three years ago.
Authorities said Kyelon Marbury and at least one other person opened fire on James Huff, 31, in a drive-by shooting April 23, 2023 on Webster Avenue. Huff was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and died from his injuries. Investigators determined Marbury had also opened fire on a driver at random in the same area two days prior, though the driver was not struck.
