STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Foundation for Dignity received a $1,000 grant on Sunday, March 15, to support its mission of ensuring dignified burials for homeless, indigent, and stillborn individuals on Staten Island.
The foundation, founded by Helen Timari and Diane Kramer in association with the office of Staten Island Public Administrator Edwina Martin, works to prevent remains from being sent to New York City’s Potter Field in the Bronx.
