TAMPA, Florida — Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a murder investigation in Tampa, each facing charges of tampering with evidence.
On October 21, 2025, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a shooting in the 10000 block of Country Hollow Drive. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 17-year-old Trevaun Johnson deceased inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The incident was initially identified as an attempted armed robbery involving several individuals, according to a press release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives later identified 18-year-old Cordaryl Johnson, who had sustained a gunshot wound, as a suspect. He was arrested for second-degree felony murder, armed burglary, and attempted armed robbery. Further investigation revealed that evidence related to the shooting was taken to a hospital in Pasco County, where attempts were made to hide or discard items from the vehicle.
