New Castle, DE – A New Castle man was allegedly robbed Saturday afternoon at a local motel, prompting an active investigation by Delaware State Police.
According to Delaware State Police, the incident happened Saturday around 1:00 p.m. at the Superlodge located on West Avenue. Investigators said the victim, a 23-year-old New Castle resident, was allegedly approached by two unknown male suspects while standing in the parking lot. Authorities allege the suspects confronted the victim, assaulted him, and repeatedly demanded property before allegedly removing personal belongings from his pockets and fleeing the scene.
