FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Statues and murals, and all other namesakes associated with Cesar Chavez, are tumbling down – and one Fresno artist is painting over his nearly complete mural with grace.
Omar Huerta started working on his mural on 10th Street nearly a year ago.
He says the art and location were inspired by the intention to rename the road to Cesar Chavez Boulevard; however, like the renaming, the legacy he intended to leave with paint had to be re-evaluated when news of Cesar Chavez’s sexual assault allegations surfaced…
