The Education Foundation of Martin County named Chanda Leon of Martin County High School the 2025-2026 Martin County Teacher of the Year during its celebration at the MidFlorida Credit Union Event Center. Leon will represent the district in the Florida Department of Education’s statewide Teacher of the Year competition.
Leon also won the high school category (sponsored by Keiser University). Other category winners were Cassie Mailhot of Stuart Middle School (middle school) and Alexis Gray of Palm City Elementary (elementary), sponsored by the Education Foundation of Martin County and Cigna Healthcare, respectively…
