LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Firefighters put out a small fire at the Express Inn in Lafayette on Monday morning after someone reportedly broke into an unoccupied room and set it, according to the Lafayette Fire Department.
Fire officials said crews responded to 1314 NE Evangeline Thruway just before 7 p.m. after a hotel guest reported smoke coming from one of the rooms. They added firefighters arrived to find light smoke coming from the room.
