SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man from Springfield was sentenced on March 17, 2026, for his fifth DWI conviction after being arrested in July 2024.
Thomas Unverferth, 67, pleaded guilty to chronic DWI and received a seven-year sentence, but the judge suspended the execution of his sentence and instead placed him under probation for five years.
