Crews fight two-alarm apartment fire in south Columbia Tuesday morning

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia-Richland Fire responded to a two-alarm fire Tuesday morning at an apartment complex on South Beltline Boulevard.

Crews on the 3rd shift arrived at Woodland Terrace Apartments on South Beltline Boulevard, about a block off of Rosewood Drive, around 8:45 a.m. March 24 to find heavy smoke coming from a 4-unit building.

One unit was showing heavy fire and the threat of the fire spreading to another unit caused responders to call for a second alarm…
