Criminal investigation underway following intentional Evansville house fire March 20th

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Investigators have launched a criminal probe after a house fire on the city’s north side was determined to be intentionally set.

The Evansville Fire Department responded to the 2800 block of Edgar Street around 1:49 p.m. on March 20th after reports of a structure fire. Arriving crews found smoke coming from multiple areas of the home.

Firefighters contained the blaze within minutes, though the property sustained damage. One person was injured during the incident and transported to a local hospital for treatment…
