“HE REFUSED TO GO QUIETLY:” Lexington, KY Man Arrested After Volatile Standoff and Cruiser Damage in Laurel County

LONDON, KYLaurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting the arrest of a Lexington man following a chaotic scene at a local business late Thursday night, March 19, 2026.

Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Reed and Deputy Justin Lewis responded to a business parking lot off KY 770, approximately 12 miles south of London, after being dispatched by the London – Laurel County 911 Communications Center regarding a refusal to leave the premises.

Upon arrival, deputies conducted an investigation and determined that the subject identified as Larry Ramsey, age 61, of Lexington, KY was under the influence.
