NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Metro Nashville Police Department has renewed its calls for help from the public in figuring out what happened in a homicide that happened nearly 30 years ago.
“What happened to Diane?” the police wrote on Facebook on Monday. “Just over 28 years ago, the body of Diane Minor was pulled from the Cumberland River after being seen floating by a barge operator. She had recently been shot in the head.”
Minor’s body was found on March 18, 1998, near Cleeses Ferry in the Cumberland River in Nashville. Her cold case file says that she died of two gunshot wounds to the head and that when she was found, her body was estimated to have been in the river for less than 24 hours.
