The mother accused of stabbing her 6-year-old daughter 40 times was indicted Monday by an Santa Rosa County grand jury of first-degree murder.
The Office of the State Attorney announced that a grand jury returned the indictment March 23 for April Oliva, who is charged with killing her daughter, Valerie, in their Milton home on Feb. 25.
Oliva’s next court date is scheduled for April 30, according to a release. If convicted, Oliva faces a lifetime in state prison.
