San Jose crash kills suspected DUI driver’s passenger

(KRON) — A man was killed Saturday in San Jose after the car he was a passenger in collided head-on with a pickup truck, according to police. The car’s driver, who sustained life-threatening injuries, was taken into custody after authorities said he “displayed symptoms of intoxication.”

The crash occurred just before 5 p.m. in the area of South White Road and Lieb Court. San Jose Police Department crash investigators said a gray 2010 Lexus sedan was going northbound on South White Road when the driver lost control and crossed into the oncoming lanes of traffic.

The Lexus, which was occupied by the driver and three passengers, all men, struck a black 2013 Dodge Ram pickup truck head-on. The Dodge then struck a silver 2008 Toyota Camry that had been traveling in the same direction as the truck…
