SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A new effort to tackle food insecurity in Savannah is hitting the road. A mobile grocery store is launching in the Coastal Empire this week to fight food insecurity.
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia are unveiling a mobile grocery store on Tuesday that is designed to serve neighborhoods without easy access to healthy food. The initiative, known as “Mo-Gro,” aims to bring fresh, affordable food directly to families across the area.
