Thousands without power in Texas

TEXAS — More than 6,000 homes and businesses across Texas are without electricity Tuesday afternoon, according to data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the latest update, approximately 6,086 customers are affected statewide, representing about 0.04% of the more than 15.6 million customers tracked. Texas currently ranks third in the nation for total outages and 16th for the percentage of customers affected.
