OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The FBI Omaha Field Office is urging residents and businesses to strengthen their cybersecurity as growing threats from foreign entities put personal and business information at risk.
For the last two decades, the FBI has tracked an increase in cyber threats to people and businesses.
“Wherever in Nebraska or Iowa you may live, the cyber threat that we are seeing to our businesses, to our homes, our schools, hospitals, farms or ranches has grown exceptionally,” said Eugene Kowel, special agent in charge of the FBI Omaha Field Office.
Attacks come from foreign adversaries
