Hutchinson neighborhood’s tornado siren being repaired and moved

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Residents in Hutchinson’s Careyville subdivision are without an outdoor tornado warning siren, the city said Monday.

The city said the siren is experiencing an equipment failure, possibly because of a lightning strike.

Repair work will start around April 3, and while they’re at it, workers will move the siren to a new location…
