Washington still feeling the pain of Danny Sprinkle’s buyout without any ROI yet

Utah State continues to search for new coaches. It’s almost a bi-yearly tradition for the Aggies, and while it has to be frustrating for the school, it’s financially beneficial for them too. With current Utah State head coach Jerrod Calhoun leaving for Cincinnati, the Aggies are owed $3.9 million, according to Pete Thamel.

The crazy part, Washington is still paying them for Danny Sprinkle from a few seasons ago. The painful part for the Huskies is that they’ve yet to see any return on investment from that coaching hire. It’s been pitiful for the Dawgs, and many fans would love to just ship Sprinkle back to Utah State.

Washington is still actively paying Utah State for Danny Sprinkle

It’s painful to know that monthly installments that have now reached almost $1.44 million and eventually will get up to $2.9 million are being shipped out the Husky door. That money could be going to help the basketball program in many other ways. Sprinkle hasn’t been able to figure it out for Washington yet after another disappointing season…
