Nevada slugger Hannah Di Genova sets new Wolf Pack record after stellar weekend at plate

It’s no secret Nevada slugger Hannah Di Genova is one of the Mountain West’s hottest hitters. She recently compiled one of the best performances at the plate during a three-game stretch in Wolf Pack softball history.

In three games against Utah State, she went 9-for-9 with three walks, two HBPs and reached base in all 14 plate appearances. Di Genova had three home runs, including a grand slam on Sunday, a double and scored six runs. She drove in 11 runs, which included a single-game program record seven RBIs in the Wolf Pack’s series finale to win the series over the Aggies on Sunday. She posted a staggering 1.615 slugging percentage and .833 onbase percentage. While playing first base, she continued her flawless defense with 14 putouts and no errors.

Di Genova was named the MW player of the week for a second time this season and ranks third in the MW in batting average (.467) and first in OPS (1.474), slugging (.948), RBI (41) and home runs (12).
