ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Albany church pastor has been arrested in connection to a sexual assault investigation, according to the Albany Police Department. Bienvenido Lopez, 75, faces several rape charges.

Police told NEWS10 that Lopez was arrested on March 19 and charged with multiple counts of first-degree rape. Authorities also said he has worked at a few local churches over the years.
Albany police are now working to determine whether there are any additional victims. Anyone who has had contact with Lopez and believes they may have experienced similar behavior is urged to contact the department’s Children and Family Service Unit at (518) 447-8780.
