A quiet stretch of early morning on Harford Road was broken by gunfire Tuesday, sending a 22-year-old man to a local hospital and kicking off yet another shooting investigation in northeast Baltimore.
What Police Say Happened
According to FOX45, officers were called to an area hospital at about 2:55 a.m. Tuesday for a walk-in shooting victim. Detectives found a 22-year-old man with an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police told FOX45 they believe the shooting happened in the 5500 block of Harford Road. Investigators have not released additional details on what led up to the gunfire or whether they have identified any suspects.
Harford Road’s Troubling Track Record
Harford Road has seen more than its share of crime scenes in recent years. Baltimore Police media advisories have documented multiple shooting investigations in nearby blocks across the Northeast District.
In a previous incident noted in a Baltimore Police Department advisory, detectives located a crime scene in the 4600 block of Harford Road. They urged residents to come forward with tips as they worked follow-up leads. Tuesday’s case adds another file to an already crowded stack.
