Moore’s attorney asks that jail calls be disposed of

In a motion made on March 18 in the trial of Gregory Moore – the man charged with the 2013 muder of Aliza Sherman – the defense called for the disposal of phone calls that took place between Moore and his attorney following his May 2025 arrest while he was awaiting extradition in a Texas jail, citing the reason as attorney-client privilege.

The motion would require the plaintiff, the state of Ohio, to “dispose of or otherwise destroy certain recorded phone calls between Mr. Moore and an attorney while Mr. Moore was housed in jail pending extradition,” according to court documents, as well as prohibiting a third party from obtaining the calls.

Moore’s legal team, Rion, Rion and Rion, LPA, Inc. in Dayton, further argued that the communications should be considered confidential given that it was the only way they were able to communicate with their client at the time due to distance. The judge has yet to rule on the motion…
