SANGER – A recently received grant now puts the city of Sanger closer to a significant pedestrian safety project.
On March 19, the Sanger City Council approved a resolution to approve a Measure C Safe Routes to School funding agreement and accept a grant of $906,000. The funds will help cover a significant portion of the Fowler Switch Canal Multi-Use Bridge Project.
In his comments, Mayor Pro Tem Daniel Martinez explained that the project is for the bridge over the canal on Jensen Avenue, so that the sidewalk that connects Veterans Park to Chipotle and Starbucks can be completed…
