The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office issued updates to an ongoing investigation after a body was found in Mulberry Creek on March 17. The new updates are in hopes of identifying the female who was found.
At around 3:15 p.m. on March 17, workers for Norfolk Southern Railroad discovered a female body in Mulberry Creek near the Autauga-Dallas County line near County Road 83. Investigators believe the body could have traveled down the creek from Chilton or Dallas Counties, as the creek runs through the three counties.
The Alabama Department of Forensic Scientists performed an autopsy on the female body and found she was a black female, approximately five-foot-three-inches tall, and between the ages of 45 and 55. She is approximately 130 pounds with short, black hair…
