A Superior Court judge on Tuesday rejected Brown University’s request to dismiss a lawsuit filed last year by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Rhode Island over access to arrest reports by its campus police.
The bench decision by Associate Justice Shannon Signore allows the case challenging whether the private school is subject to Rhode Island’s public records law to continue.
