CRESTON — Ashe County Sheriff B. Phil Howell announces the arrest of 29-year-old Christopher William Daum of Tybee Island, Georgia, on several charges after breaking and entering a home in Creston.
After the investigation Daum received drug charges including a felony heroin possession.
On Sunday, March 22, at 1 a.m., Ashe County 911 Dispatch received a call from a homeowner who was currently out of town, reporting that he had received an alert that someone was inside his home. The homeowner was able to view live security footage of the suspect inside his home. Ashe County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Carter, Pruitt, and Dancy arrived on scene and noticed that a window in the home had been broken out and that chairs were stacked outside, which appeared to be the entry point.
