PORTAGE TOWNSHIP – A Lakeside Marblehead woman died after her car went airborne after crossing the median on Ohio 2 and it crashed into a pickup truck.
Margaret Lenthe, 78, of Lakeside Marblehead, was driving a 2005 Ford Focus westbound on Ohio 2 on March 21 at 9:42 a.m. near mile marker 122 in Portage Township, Ottawa County. She drove off the left side of the roadway and hit the center-raised median.
It became a de facto ramp, causing the vehicle to go airborne. Her car landed in the eastbound lanes of Ohio 2 and collided with a 2021 Toyota Tacoma. She was not wearing a seat belt…
