HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA)) – A Henderson County man has been charged with cruelty to animals after authorities said they found a mistreated dog in his care.
According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, on March 20, members of the sheriff’s office animal enforcement division received a report of a contained stray dog.
During an investigation, deputies reportedly found a malnourished dog kept in an unclean kennel. Pictures of the dog show its ribs and spine were visible and what appear to be animal feces are present in the kennel.
Investigators have arrested 33-year-old Keith Wesley Greene, of Hendersonville on charges of animal cruelty. The dog was transported to a local animal hospital and is receiving treatment…
