TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers heading through Tampa should prepare for a week of slower commutes starting Tuesday morning. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on March 24, city crews will shut down the outside northbound lane of South 50th Street. The closure stretches between South 16th Avenue and South 20th Avenue and is expected to remain in place until the end of the work week.
The Tampa Water Department is heading the project to perform essential maintenance on the local water distribution system. To help navigate the change, city workers have placed barricades and directional signs throughout the area.
