GPS tracker leads to arrest for cargo theft, police say

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Wichita Falls police officers arrested a man after they said they were asked to intervene to locate a semi-trailer load that was allegedly hijacked.

Kamaljit Singh, of Mansfield, was arrested and booked into the Wichita County Jail on Monday, March 23, and charged with theft of cargo greater than or equal to $200,000. Jail records show he was released from custody on March 24 after posting a $100,000 bond.

Court documents said that officers responded to the Love’s Truck Stop on Central Freeway at around 8:11 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, regarding a possible load that had been taken without permission.
