JACKSON — Jackson police are investigating after a burned body was discovered Tuesday in a wooded area off Greenway Drive, authorities said.
Officers and robbery-homicide detectives responded to the 2700 block of Greenway Drive on Tuesday after receiving a report of a burning body in the woods. When they arrived, they found what appeared to be the body of a man lying on the ground in what investigators described as a homeless encampment.
