Lafayette prosecutor Emilia Pardo is the first person to announce their candidacy for the Lafayette City Court judge seat being vacated by long-time Judge Doug Saloom.
After 31 years as the Division B Lafayette City Court judge, Saloom announced in February that he is retiring as of Dec. 31.
