‘I was so excited to be a Husker’: Orientation leaders strengthen freshman experience

Each August, nearly 4,500 new faces arrive at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, lugging backpacks and tote buckets into dorms all across campus. Year after year, each dorm is filled with a new student ready to begin their college career.

To support this transition, the university relies on a team of student leaders, including resident assistants and orientation leaders, who guide students and families through the first steps of college life.
