NEW ORLEANS — A violent attack unfolded early Saturday in Hollygrove when a driver was stabbed multiple times after stepping in to help a friend, according to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).

Details of the Incident

The incident occurred in the 8800 block of Olive Street when the driver arrived to drop off a friend. According to police, a woman allegedly began attacking the driver’s friend. When the driver attempted to intervene, the woman reportedly stabbed the driver several times.

The victim was then taken by car to a hospital, but authorities have not yet released information on their condition, as reported by WGNO.

Police Response and Investigation

Detectives from the NOPD began collecting evidence at the scene and interviewing witnesses in an effort to identify the attacker and understand the motive. At the time of the report, no updates were available on the victim’s condition, and no arrests had been made.
