Student threat made at South Jordan elementary school deemed not credible by investigators

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (KUTV) — A shooting threat at a South Jordan elementary school sounded alarms for parents over the weekend, but investigators said the threats weren’t credible.

Parents of students at Aspen Elementary said a student began making threats to bring a gun to school last Thursday. Those threats reportedly continued into Monday.

Sgt. Shaun Becker with the South Jordan Police Department said the police department takes threats like the one made seriously and investigates them to the fullest degree.
