Fort Wayne passes ordinance to stop people from dropping off homeless individuals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)– Fort Wayne leaders have approved a new rule meant to stop people from bringing homeless individuals into the city and leaving them without help.

The ordinance, passed by City Council, makes it illegal to transport and drop off someone experiencing homelessness in Fort Wayne without making sure they have somewhere to go or a plan for support.

Council member Scott Myers says the goal is simple… Stop the problem before it starts…
