The Bay Area is getting yet another smashburger spot, this time from two Wine Country darlings.
Chef Ari Weiswasser and managing partner Spencer Waite, the team behind Sonoma County’s beloved Glen Ellen Star and recent Italian standout Stella, will open Smash on the historic Sonoma Plaza in May.
In addition to burgers, Smash, which Weiswasser described as “Gott’s meets Shake Shack, but hyperlocal,” will serve fried chicken sandwiches, tater tots and boozy milkshakes…
