DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — The Douglasville Police Department is investigating after mysterious posts appeared on social media about another “takeover” event happening at a park on Saturday.
The police department said it is aware of the unauthorized “Jessie Davis Park Takeover” event that is scheduled for March 28. Police said these messages have been appearing all over social media.
“Teen takeovers” have been a recent issue in multiple metro Atlanta cities and beyond. Police departments and municipalities have held news conferences addressing the issue, as they work to put an end to these unauthorized gatherings.
