City plans pedestrian-friendly ‘Main Street Commons’ at East Main Street site

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A vacant building on East Main Street is set to be demolished to make way for a new entertainment corridor.

“Main Street Commons” will replace the vacant storefront at the intersection of East Main Street and Stone Street, at 170-172 E. Main St. Renderings shared by the city show seating, decorative trees and other amenities for pedestrians.
