STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Monsignor Farrell High School community is mourning the loss of David Pineda, a 17-year-old junior whose sudden death on March 16 has left classmates, teachers and loved ones shocked and grieving.
School officials shared the news last week on social media, writing, “With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our classmate and friend, David Pineda, who left us this past Monday. David was a bright light in our junior class, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot truly express.”
