RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) — A Hillsborough County deputy shot a suspect in a domestic incident Tuesday night after officials said the suspect opened fire on a patrol car.
The shooting happened shortly after 8 p.m. as deputies were responding to a call regarding a domestic incident at a home located off Manor Cove Circle in Riverview.
According to HCSO Chief Deputy Frank Losat, a man identified as Antonio Jelks, 41, had fled from the home, which he shared with his family, after firing at least one gunshot inside. No one inside the home was struck by the gunfire.
