After more than 60 years, LSU is set to permanently close its golf course this summer.
The 18-hole course will remain open to the public through May 9, and it will shut down on June 30, said Zach Labbe, an LSU spokesperson, in an email Tuesday.
“This decision reflects the university’s ongoing evaluation of operational priorities, financial stewardship, and long-term planning needs,” he wrote. “LSU appreciates the golf course’s longstanding role in the community and is committed to supporting employees through the transition.”…
